What our members say about An Caislean Nua

I've hugely enjoyed my first season with An Caislean Nua. I've found the club to be very welcoming and inclusive, with a strong focus on helping you to improve your game and fitness. The coaching too is a real bonus, and other players are always willing to help you improve your game. The club is very well run, with plenty of social events too.

I found An Caislean Nua via a Google search. I went there for the first time about 3 years ago. It is a wonderful club in every way. The people are very welcoming and friendly, helpful in every situation. The hall is spacious, 5 professional badminton courts. But the biggest impression I had on a chairman, he knows what he's doing! Devotes a lot of time and energy, takes care of all and everything. The club is maintained at very high level - I'm really happy that I joined this wonderful badminton family and I feel appreciated and respected by them despite my language barrier.
Ireland is not my homeland but I really feel that my club is like a home and where I feel I achieve success and fulfill my dreams.

Since joining the club last summer I have felt so welcome in An Caislean Nua. The committee are so welcoming and go above the call of duty for every single member of the club. The friendly ethos advocated by the club is reflected at all the club training nights. All standards of badminton players are catered for. It is also a club which encourages competitive badminton at high performance events. In addition, An Caislean Nua offer free fitness training sessions once a week and badminton coaching whenever you need it. The intense leagues and cups season, which runs throughout the winter and spring months, is the most enjoyable experience. This competition creates a real team atmosphere where everyone pulls together and puts in the effort for the sake of their team. An Caislean Nua have achieved a commendable balance between social and competitive badminton which makes it the perfect place to enjoy a few games and make new friends.

I just wanted to say that An Caislean Nua is a fantastic club to play with. It is so organised & well run thanks to the hard work of all the committee, that we start to take it all for granted. We have a great hall, a fantastic coaching structure & lots of opportunities to play competitive enjoyable badminton! And there's always something new happening. A fun, friendly & successful club!

I can only say that having played in a couple of clubs in the past before joining An Caislean Nua, I have never felt the drive and focus to improve as a player more so than now under the support of Neil and his dedication to sharing his fantastic knowledge of the sport with others. I am certain this sentiment carries through the whole club. In my opinion Neil’s whole approach to the club is to be commended and his vision for the clubs direction is there for everyone to see. I am very happy to be a member of such a great club and hope to see our club compete for more and more success and go from strength to strength as the years pass.

I drive from Naas, Co.Kildare every Tuesday to attend the badminton class. This club is one of the few classes that provides coaching for beginners at no extra charge and affords them the opportunity to play regularly with all levels of players. I have been made to feel more than welcome from the first night An Caislean Nua.

There is always a friendly atmosphere and the more advanced players are always willing to give tips to help improve your game. The club holds social nights at regular intervals throughout the year, this helps to get to know the other members. These are very important in my opinion as I got to meet members I hadn't had a chance to meet before and remember the names of the ones I had!.

On joining, I didn't know anyone in the club but everyone made me feel so welcome and offered much positive feedback and helpful advice in terms of improving my game. The club committee devotes much time and effort in developing the club, especially in terms of recruiting new members (which has been most successful) and cultivating new and existing talent. I always look forward to Club Night on Tuesdays and look forward to more court time in the future.

I've really enjoyed my short time with An Caislean Nua. I have found the club to be friendly and welcoming, whilst also providing the opportunity through gameplay and coaching to develop my badminton game. The range of ages and abilities combined with the mixed doubles format ensures the social aspect is guaranteed as well as being competitive. I look forward to every Tuesday night and to many years of playing badminton with the club and introducing friends and family in due course.
