A big mention to An Caislean Nua's Gerry & Pauline McCarthy who will be cycling for a great charity: Our Lady's Children's Hospital Crumlin.

Details of their cycle:
  • On Friday the 15th April 2011Gerry and Pauline and our bikes we will be transported by coach/truck to Galway where they will stay overnight.
  • At 0700 on Saturday the 16th April they will set off on the first stage of the trip which is a 70 mile spin to Tullamore
  • They then stay overnight in Tullamore and at 0900 on Sunday the 17th April they will start the second stage of the trip which is a 60 mile spin to the Ark pub in Liffey Valley.
  • When all the cyclists reach the Ark they will receive a Garda Escort to our final destination, The Laurels pub in Clondalkin village.
At the moment there is over 100 people taking part so apart from the PAIN it should be good fun for all concerned.

Everyone at the club wish Gerry & Pauline all the best for their charity cycle.
