An Caislean Nua, an award-winning badminton club based in Clondalkin launched their new badminton venue at the Roadstone Group Sports and Social Club on Sunday, 23rd September 2012, with a special training session with world-renowned Korean coach Lee Jae Bok who recently worked with Badminton Ireland to prepare Ireland's Badminton Olympians for the London 2012 Olympics.

An Caislean Nua have fully renovated the sports hall to help support their amazing growth in recent years and offer its members 3 nights of badminton all year round. The project included a full upgrade to the floor surface, lighting upgrade and fully repainted hall. The sport hall is the 1st in Ireland to include a floor and court lining finish that supports players with visual impairment.

The club would like to thank the fantastic contractors Keith McGuirk Painting & Decorating, Paul Stevenson & Alan Morris (www.paulstevenson.ie/) ,Phil Kirkland for Court Lining (www.fitnessfunctions.ie/), and Fiachra Keogh for energy-efficient lighting (www.display.ie). Everyone associated with the project worked tirelessly to bring the project in on-time and create a fantastic new home for An Caislean Nua badminton club to support our continued development into the future.

Chairman Neil Cody commented “This project represents an exciting new chapter for An Caislean Nua, providing our membership with the facilities to sustain our growth and develop our club for many years to come".
